I have celiac disease. I cannot eat gluten, which is found in wheat, barley, and often in oats. Wheat is added to soy sauce, so I cannot eat anything with soy sauce either.
I become very ill if I eat food, marinated meat, soup or sauces containing wheat, barley, rye, soy sauce, or oats. This disease also affects me if food is fried in the same oil used to fry these ingredients. If cooking with a wok that was used to make something with soy sauce or flour, I will need it to be cleaned before cooking my meal or else I will be sick.
I cannot eat any wheat or egg noodles, or any dish with soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, Maggi, Knorr bouillon seasoning, wheat flour, or barley. Can you please help me choose something that does not contain these ingredients?
I can eat rice, sticky rice, rice noodles, tapioca or mung bean noodles, corn, vegetables, eggs, meat, chicken, or fish — as long as they are not cooked with soy sauces, oyster sauce, wheat flour, or seasonings with wheat. I can eat dishes like fried rice so long as there is no soy sauce or Maggi added.
